My goal with all my counseling clients is to empower them to make good decisions, and build a positive self-concept.
I use a solution-focused problem-solving approach, along with a cognitive-behavioral perspective, and am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I focus on helping my clients to identify effective personal coping strategies, supporting them in implementing their coping strategies to manage their emotions (e.g., stress, anxiety, depression) and teaching them executive functioning skills. Another topic area has been body image, self-esteem, confidence, and establishing a healthy relationship with food.

It is my goal to assist all my clients 5-25 years of age to learn how to make healthy and positive decisions in their lives and to empower them to have a good, healthy self image and to successfully move into their future. I am not rooted in one particular type of therapy. This is because the same thing does not work on everyone. I believe in a wrap around style of therapy. It is not just the child, it is its environment which could include, living environment, school, friend groups and more.
My clients need to be heard and need to feel that there is someone listening to them, so do the parents. So they are not alone. I am here to walk along with my clients while helping them create a toolbox for the future.

I’d love to support you, children, teens, and young adults in exploring identity, generational trauma, coping with anxiety, stress, relationships, depression, while nurturing emotional resilience- let’s unpack it together!
Throughout the therapeutic process I use an integrative approach that includes/incorporates: Family Systems: Narrative: Relational/Cultural: Feminist: DBT.
I have a specialization in Latinx and LGBTQIA2S+ Mental Health. As a queer Latinx, I strive to make therapy accessible and honor the privilege of working with others.

I currently work with children, adolescents, teens, and young adults (I often work with their parents, too). My primary goal is to create a safe and supportive space with each individual. I am then able to help each client cultivate language around their emotional self by using specific tools like CBT, DBT, psychoeducation, and play therapy.
No matter the challenges you or your child is facing, it can all be sorted out with time, patience, curiosity, and support. There are many ways in which we can move forward, sometimes we just need a little help finding the way. I encourage you to reach out to see if you think we'd be a good fit for one another!

I am passionate about supporting children ages 0-10 with achieving overall wellbeing and meeting their milestones. I primarily use play therapy to help them learn new skills, process trauma, and communicate their needs. When working with children, I use a 'developmental umbrella approach', meaning that I incorporate all developmental domains into our counseling sessions (social-emotional, self-help, cognitive, speech/language, motor, sensory processing), by focusing on their areas of strength and supporting any areas of delay, as a way to attain the overarching goal of mental wellness. In my office, therapy is gentle and positive, with an emphasis on creating a safe and fun space for your child to learn about their feelings and foster the ability to express themselves in a healthy way.
